The number of active shooters in our schools is increasing at an alarming rate. The only true defense against this threat is to reduce law enforcement response time to these incidents. On average, it takes first responders 4-11 minutes to arrive at an active shooter incident, according to Homeland Security.
It seems like every day we turn on the TV, there is news about another school tragedy. Whether you are a superintendent, board member, principal, teacher, or kitchen staff, you love and want to protect the children in your care.
It may seem like this threat is out of your control, but there is something we can do together… reduce the response time of law enforcement arriving at the scene of these tragedies.
We at Guard911® are passionate about saving innocent lives. Our SchoolGuard® app has been deployed in schools all across the country. Is it in yours?
Why SchoolGuard®

Features of SchoolGuard®

How It Works
The SchoolGuard® app technology is simple and powerful. Teachers and staff download the app to their mobile phones. In the event of an active shooting, a teacher presses the panic button provided in the app. An alert is immediately sent to the mobile phones of all federal, state and local law enforcement officers, ON and OFF duty, in close proximity to the school.
The app simultaneously speed dials 911 and connects the teacher to emergency services. All other staff and teachers in the school with the app installed are also immediately alerted of the shooting, and a map of the location of the initial alert is displayed on their mobile phones. The map provides awareness to staff and teachers, which allows them to react accordingly.
